Republic Day 2083 In Nepal. Today, Republic Day is being celebrated across the country by organising various programs. The government has declared a public holiday on the occasion of the day.
The day on which the first Constituent Assembly elected by the people formally ended the autocratic monarchy and declared the beginning of a federal democratic republican system of governance in Nepal on 15 Jestha 2065 is celebrated as Republic Day.
In addition, a special ceremony is being held at the Military Forum Tundikhel this morning. Earlier this morning, the Nepali Army fired a cannon to welcome the Republic.
The ceremony, which will begin at 8 am at the Military Forum, will be attended by the President, Prime Minister and other dignitaries. The President will address the ceremony.
